Hey there. I really love this pattern and project. I have a few questions, though. I followed the pattern and made the hat 7″ before beginning the decrease. The hat is now about 9″ long, and i still have a ways to go yet. It looks similar to the hat in your picture, it’s just longer. Because it’s longer, I’m worried about the shape it will take and the point of the hat not being so obvious. I have a feeling that I should have started the decrease around 5″, instead of 7″. Did your hat shrink at all when you washed it? How am I supposed to wash it? Was the hat in the pictures made to the exact pattern? This is my first project on DPNs, so I’m a little wary. Any help/advice would be appreciated.
